Just some observations, watch the marks at -

1:49 Rodgers to Finley with coverage by he who shall not be named

1:57 Rodgers to Cobb with coverage by wait, wait, wait for it

2:36 Starks drags a person of interests into the end zone
What a workaholic ... studying film just like Brees... just to better illustrate a growing consensus!

5:20 Rodgers is finally sacked by Junyah as the blitzer seems unable to bring the QB down on his own; referees who generally are proactive to protect the QB with the "in the grasp" call weren't convinced either until Junyah closed the deal...

5:50 Graham shows the fire that the Defense seemed to lack
Wow, so they score 42 points and you highlight 3 pays involving Harper.

At 1:49 Harper is draped all over Finley, a perfect pass is the only reason its completed.

At 2:36 Starks runs thru a truck sized hole at the LOS, no LB within 5 yards, Jenkins wiffs on the tackle, and Starks hits Harper at full speed inside the 5 and you wanna blame Harper for that? Wow.

So basically you've shown exactly 1 play that Harper really looked bad on. The Packers score 42 points, and you have one play.

I guess Gregg Williams was right.

1:49 - Great coverage by Harper. Rogers threaded the needle. The replay is a bad angle to actually see how good the coverage was. During the game I thought "Oh Crap Harper" but Harper had great coverage.

2:36 - Harper gets beat by a WR.

You know, you can single out the WHOLE FREAKING DEFENSE for the ENTIRE NIGHT.

I am not a playa hater, unless the offender is either uniformly bad or criminally incompetent. Harper is neither.

There were more mistakes by corners each play than Harper the whole game. Ok, exaggeration, but not by much. The whole d scheme was responsible for the loss, not isolated perfect plays by the opponents.

Still, he's the guy the Saints have, and the team could do a lot worse than him. GW loves him for his rushing abilities, but he should take Harper's weaknesses in coverage to heart and built coverage schemes around that fact. I know that's a hard thing to do with a team like GB, who have multiple targets in the backfield.

The thread is about "Harper on the decline?"

You're right in that Greg Williams and the entire defense were awful the entire night...

As the thread is about Harper, I'm just illustrating just some of his breakdowns that night...

Rodgers throw to Finley was a basic lead not a thread the needle; Harper was already burned and running behind Finley, who's coming back from knee injury...

And you're right to point out that Starks should never have gotten to Harper, totally agree, but he was slowed...

So where was the big bone jarring, separate ball from player hit?

From Harper, or you kidding?

Unless it's a quarterback from the backside, it's not gonna happen...

Brother, this film does shows more than one breakdown/missed opportunity on his part...

No, Harper didn't lose this game on his own; but, simply presenting video evidence for discussion on the quality of his game...

Which isn't nearly worth the 12 mil guaranteed contract he received...

I'd have offered a little more per year, but incentive based, not contract based...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
