I been through this..you have to know one thing..if they want to kill themselves they will...Prayers for you and your family...you cant blame yourself either.

So sorry to hear this.

I'm a chronic depressive myself and I've never attempted suicide but I know what it feels like. It's a struggle everyday just to accomplish the smallest task. And I've never found a medicine that works to make it any better. I can understand wanting to end it all.

If you love her, you have to just be there for her. That's all she can reasonably ask of you. A hug at the right time can go a long way.

I've had 2 or 3 girlfriends throughout my 30 breeding years who had emotional probs. Their problems always became my problems.

To be bluntly, brutally honest, I'm better off without them and their drama. I am neither a charity, nor a doctor, so I couldnt help them. I was a free agent, and I was in the market for a companion, thats all. When somebody qualified showed up, I signed her.

I personally dont understand depression.
If youre religious, which I am, then you understand, and have a purpose. You're going to win, no matter what happens. Besides, there's no time for depression, when you have a mission.

If youre not religious, there is still beer, video games, and pornography. I will never understand suicide in a world that has beer, video games, and pornography.

My point is, we're all gonna die. Choose to be happy.

Be there for her.... Not much you can do but try to be there for her.

Easier said than done, but also "try" not to let it effect you too much... If she sees that she is effecting you she may feel guilt and that makes it more difficult for her. One of the hardest things in life to do is to be strong when no one else is.

Ive been there man...It doesnt get any easier without support. You HAVE GOT to hang in there, show her nothing but positives, take all the negative people out of her life, LOVE her more than anything.

I havent talked to my brother in a while because I am a recovering drunk..and he drank everytime I was around him. Sometimes people near you can cause you pain without even considering the pain your going thru. I know his drinking has no realation to what she is probably going thru but its the same concept. IMO.

Once I took myself out of his influence I didnt feel those feelings any longer. What ever is bothering her, address it.. DO IT NOW. When life is better for her , you will have been the one that was there for her. you can PM me and I like to talk to you more. I have alot of thoughts and feelings on these situations that go alot deeper than anyting I want to expose to everyone..Hang in there man. I KNOW YOUR PAIN

I'm sorry to hear this brother.

I have PTSD and it is a daily struggle. The only thing that gets me throught it is the love that I get from my wife, my kids, my family and friends.

Prayer not only by us, but by you as well; will help. I know you love this woman. You wouldn't have put it on this board if you didn't. I don't know her problems; but pain is in there somewhere. Heartache and pain drives most people to this state in their life. You have got to help her get rid of this pain. Listening to her talk about this things can help. I know it helps me. She needs to know; not hear but KNOW, she is not the only person going through this type of depression.

My prayers are with her and my prayers are with you for you to have the strength to help her get the help she needs. Also remember to seek help for yourself. This is a traumatic situation for you as well.

This site is more than just a Saints web site. If you need to talk, send one of us a message. I don't post everyday...but I do check in at least every other day. God bless y'all brother.
