Nope. The whistle blew before the ball even hit the ground. As a result, the entire Saints team stopped playing. If no whistle had blown, I doubt the entire Saints team would've just stood there and watch the Lions score. |

And we have already seen what the likes of Brees will do on that Vikings Brian De La Puente poor communication bad snap fumble when Brees brought that runner down with a tackle worthy of a rugby final. But I think he did because he read the play as an incomplete pass (and not a fumble). |
