Very true.
They did play a much more disciplined game this time around, though. I was surprised they only had a PF call, and it was pretty weak

That was the offsetting penalties one? I thought both calls were weak.

To be somewhat fair, he did blame his corners for not catching the int's and their missing some 3rd down coversions - like the 3rd and 19 in the second half.

He did somewhat credit the Saints, indirectly, by saying that his team beat itself.

It might matter if he was still relevant in any way to the rest of the season. Bye Jim.

He has legitimate complaint with officials blowing whistle on Brees fumble.

Lions had ball and were gone to endzone when officials blew whistle; that missed TD could have been huge.

Nope.
The whistle blew before the ball even hit the ground. As a result, the entire Saints team stopped playing. If no whistle had blown, I doubt the entire Saints team would've just stood there and watch the Lions score.

Correct.
And we have already seen what the likes of Brees will do on that Vikings Brian De La Puente poor communication bad snap fumble when Brees brought that runner down with a tackle worthy of a rugby final.

But I think he did because he read the play as an incomplete pass (and not a fumble).

This point was made by the talking heads - Yes they would have more yards BUT not a TD
