It didn't take me THAT long. The whole thing is a joke if you ask me, and what hacks me off about the whole thing is the NFL is posturing - and for whom? The lawyers who are suing them because a number of former players are whining about headaches? Could it be a preemptive courtroom strategy? I don't know.

What I DO know is that the NFL revels in its violent past and encouraged players to become bigger and faster and meaner. Now with the lawsuits the NFL has over the last few years become 'concerned' (cough cough) about player safety. Yeah, tell that bull sh*t to the jury, cause I didn't just fall off the turnip truck.

The 'toughness' of the Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Dallas Cowboys of the 70's, and for that matter our very own DOME PATROL from the 80's, is legendary and still marketed by those teams AND the league to this day. You can find the leagues very own Television Network paying homage to them on just about any day of the week. Hell, the media would rather show a big hit than a big touchdown to this very day.

Those of you who are losing sleep over this better get over it. The league is going to do what it's going to do. This is what the game we love has come to. Accept it and move on or start watching Hockey.

... it is the NFL offseason, bounties are basically legal in the NHL and the playoffs are just around the corner ... still haven't seen you sign up for the Black & Gold Hockey Group though ... I think Zoey would look great in a Red Wings jersey,

Zooey would look great in ANY jersey of course, but I believe I get your point.

I was in Dallas when the Stars were kicking azz. Went to a few games. I can honestly say that Hockey in person was far more entertaining than anything else I've seen.

Yeah, she would, of course Zooey has FAR too much class to ever be seen in a Falcons jersey.
