No! Were better because our O-line is solid and were finally using all our weapons to the best of their abilities, like running screens and vertical routes with our playmakers(Julio, Roddy, HarryD, Quizz Rodgers and Jason Snelling) instead of just lining up and running up the gut with Turner for 2 yards. Another thing that will make us better is our defense, which is better than that conservative crap we had last year also.

The scheme may be better, but the players aren't... Didn't improve at all on that side of the ball... Tried, but Lofa didn't work out, and your 2nd year starting MLB has a glass chin...

That was last year in a conservative scheme! where does a non deep threat TE fit into a aggressive scheme? He is to slow to be a deep threat and to slow to run a TE screen.

The D is way better go watch the game for yourself, we finally have a pass rush, we finally could get off the field on 3rd down and our DBs are lights out. How many times do we have to say we dont even use a MLB because our base D is the nickel 4-2-5 with the 2LBs being OLBs?

Re: Atlanta game

Does it bother you that you had coordinators that got the falcons to 13-3 just two years ago and they fired them to hire coordinators that have left teams worse than they came just about every place they've coached in the NFL?

Oh, and Turner's hot garbage and Gonzales is too slow now. (those are your words)

It's not like we can't survive without Tony G.

No way, you can stay in the 4-2-5 all game... And one quarter of a preseason game doesn't mean anything... Against the Ravens O-Line at that, which lost their best lineman in Grubbs, who is now with us and looks to be just as good as Nicks *maybe better

Re: Atlanta game

They went 13-3 because they ran into creampuff schedule and like every season lately, didnt have any injuries hardly.

Thats been the reason behind their success with a 13 win and 10 win campaign as of the recent years.

I think the Falcons need to watch footage of their 2008 season because they had more of an identity that season than they ever had under Mike Smith and co, at least they stuck to doing what they do best that season. Thats truly been a more successful year for the Falcons than any other year under Matt Ryan/Mike smith.

Re: Atlanta game

I'm looking through the records, I don't think Nolan or Koetter have ever been on a 13-3 team in their careers.

Re: Atlanta game

I do agree with Saintkiller, but I don't think Tony Gonzalez is too old and slow.
