It doesn't matter who we blame the fact is we can't win a game whether we are ahead or behind. This is not what we are accustomed to and it feels bad. Undoubtley Gooddell knew what he was doing when he suspended Payton for the year. It appears he will keep us out of the superbowl.

Re: Quit blaming our losses on the refs and Goodell
It's a combination of a lot of things. No one person, or lack thereof, not one side of the ball or another. The tumultuous off season hurt, Brees' holdout hurt, the current lack of leadership hurts, our O-line and D-line play is killing us, the scab refs hurt. All of it...no one thing.

Instead of 24 pts, we should of had 38 pts in that game. |

Re: Quit blaming our losses on the refs and Goodell
I'm with you on that one SloMo. I think a lot of us underestimated the loss of Sean and the effect this whole offseason would have on our players. They're only human. While I believe there are some who have worn out their welcome here I think this whole mess has just screwed up their heads so much they are having a hard time even functioning. There's plenty enough blame to go around but in my opinion, Goodell screwed up this season royally for us and I think that was his intention. How can a man be allowed to so demoralize an organization and trample on a fanbase over hearsay, conjecture, and circumstantial evidence like he has this year and still keep his job is beyond me. No, the refs aren't to blame but I'm darn sure going to lay the majority of it on Goodells shoulders. That SOB screwed us everywhich way you can. Others were right when they said he knew what he was doing when he sent Sean home for a year.

The Lance Moore call was correct. He DID NOT come down with both feet inbounds. Its the only one they got right.

Did the replacement officials get all the calls right?
Maybe. Maybe not. “I don’t get into that business,” veteran defensive end Will Smith said. “I mean, the refs are human; they’re not going to call it as called all the time. “You just have to play the game. You can’t leave it in their hands.” Full article. Replay reversals make mark on game between Saints, Chiefs | Saints | The Advocate — Baton Rouge, LA |

I will go read the rule book or get clarification. But since his foot touched the Pylon first before hitting the ground, that is a completed catch or TD. Touching the Pylon is the same as getting your foot in bounds, in the case of Moore, 1 foot hit Pylon first then the ground, his other foot was in bounds. |

Re: Quit blaming our losses on the refs and Goodell
Can't put all the offensive woes on Brees, though. O-line has been bad - almost as if the man in charge of coaching them is off doing something else.
Besides that, WRs/TEs are dropping passes like they're scared of the ball. |
