remember how brees held work outs during the lock out? i'm 100% that he wasn't thinking 'i can break dan marino and johnny unitas' record if i do this'. that's leadership...and yeah, it sucked that he held out during the offseason, but that was on both sides. brees should have been paid right away, but it isn't that black and white. there are these guys called agents who have the sole job of making sure elite players (like brees) get as much money as they can, which leads to lengthy negotiations. it's still a business after all.
i see you also mention roethlisberger in defence of your awful, awful post. team leaders don't get charged multiple times with sexual assault..i don't care how many rings you have, if your definition of 'leadership' is having off season issues that include rape, you and i have contrasting opinions on leadership.

I know all of you are true Saints Fans. I have neen one for over 40 years. All I am saying is Brees is not Leader. He has never displayed those qualities. I don't like Big Ben's Moral fiber, I just said the guts a leader, like Brady, and Drew is not. It is very obvious. I was Jealous of Peyton tonight. Drew isn't half the quarterback that he is. It sucks to say that, but that is the way it is.
