I kind of agree with Peter King?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; OK, I\'ll post my: \"The Pope is a pimp\" write up tonight. That\'ll be a tough one but I think I can pull it off. Have you ever noticed that pimp-moblie the Pope rides around in?...

Hmmm, never in a million years would I have guessed that.
Good to see you\'ve picked up on it. I was worried that my user name was too subtle...

At any rate, I agree with King that Brooks is a mediocre QB. I don\'t see him as an elite player. He hasn\'t proven that he is a winner, kind of reminds me of Jim Everett, outstanding one week, cover-your-eyes awful the next.

I\'m not sure that I\'d rate Plummer as a #6 talent, but you have got to admit that his entire career at Arizona was him playing without a running game, without consistently good recievers and with him constantly playing from behind.

Plummer has\'nt done anything since college and he really was\'nt spectacular then either. He has alot of weapons in Denver and has\'nt show anything the last couple of years. If there were more than 30 on the list, he would always be at the bottom of mine.

I\'m going to quibble on the weapons in Denver.

Smith(Not Smart ((I\'m so embarrassed by this goof)) is done.
McCaffery was pretty good in the slot, but he has needed to hang it up since he broke his leg.
Lelie makes Stallworth look like an over-achiever. (Incidentally we have to determine whether Lelie is a draft bust before we even think about labeling Donte like that)
Sharp was the best receiving threat Plummer had last year.

Again, not saying I\'d put Plummer at #6, but the guy is better than his teams have let him show. I\'d probably put Plummer in the top half of QBs in the league until he\'s actually shown something. In that regard, he\'s not unlike Brooks, except he can throw a touch pass.

And who are all these weapons Brooks has had to throw to? Joe Horn was very good for a couple of years. But what other great weapons has Brooks had to throw to?

Pathon? Hmm.... He\'s an average receiver.

Stallworth? Hmm.... He hasn\'t been healthy enough to stay on the field.

Conwell? Hmm.. He hasn\'t lived up to his hype.

Maybe all these receivers live up to the \"hype\" this year, but they\'ve been one of the BIG problems.

Funny how you fluff up the WR Corp in other threads to backup your 12-4 Prediction.
Gator, come on dude. I have made no prediction for a 12-4 season this year. If fact, I\'ve said this team could finish anywhere from 8-8 to 11-5.

What do I have to do to convice you I\'m NOT sold on this Saints\' team, gator?

Call me out on what you consider to be \"sunshine\" posts, But don\'t just make stuff up. You are battling yourself, gator, \'cause I\'ve said no such thing.

When you turn the ball over 25 plus times a season, thats not a top 15 QB. It doesn\'t matter if its by INT or Fumble. Its still bad.
Don\'t know what point you\'re trying to make since I said in this VERY thread that Brooks\' fumbles hurt us.

But you just set yourself up for a rude awakening with this post gator.

Check our your FAVORITE boy Delhomme !!

Jake Delhomme interceptions - 19
J. Delhomme fumbles lost ----- 6

Total turnovers by Jake Delhomme - 24

Now, I said Brooks fumbles hurt us. But how did the Panthers get to the super bowl when Jake Delhomme turned the ball over 24 times?

Either you can answer that, or we can just make small talk?

Gator --

Are you trying to tell me I need to start a poll to find out how I feel about this Saints\' team?

Look gator... When you log on here you go directly after my posts. That\'s cool with me. But come up with a good arguement about the topic at hand.

I think the \"logic\" behind my reply to your post is pretty clear and relevant.

Man, you can say what ya want, but I a\'int taking it to a peronal level with you. Not going there.
