New Orleans Saints - 2013 Cap Hits

Between Will Smith and Vilma alone, we are spending just over 23 million dollars next season. And though I like Vilma, I remember him being "out of place" in a 3-4 system when he was with the Jets, though he did have great numbers. Plus he's dealt with injuries the last two seasons.... and we could do a lot with $23 million...

Bunkley may surprise us, he was pretty good in the Broncos 3-4...

Yeah, Bunkley did well for Denver in their 3-4 defense, so I'm excited for what he'll do for ours. We do need a backup NT behind him tho. Montori Hughes in the 5th!

How is will smith still being paid like an elite DE? I mean 14 mil is absurd

Thanks for the memories but vilma, shanle, ellis and will smith have to be released

Shanle and Ellis are both UFAs, so they won't be back.... most likely.

That is by design. So you can come back at them in the latter part of their contract... Look them in the face... hold up a piece of paper with their cap figure, hold up a piece of paper with their performance... and say

Really Now?!?! Seriously?!?! How bad do you want to stay a Saint?
