Here is Chris Ivory with 4... Getting it done... Notice the lack of Saints linemen? He drug the pile. http://www4.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/C...MNwQ_gRh9l.jpg Oh! here is Chris agsin.. See all the Seahawks? See the Ivory? http://blog.thenewstribune.com/seaha...ry-480x319.jpg I forgot how much I loved watching Ivory run Watch it ALL.. Most of it is speed, vision, and dragging piles. Ingram does not have the speed to bounce it outside. A direct comparison Ivory first 1/2 Ingram second 1/2.. Ingram is not as fast, elusive, explosive, doesnt have the vision, doesn't drag the pile as well, and doesnt hit the hole as hard.. Same offensive line, same season Sunday night against Tampa Bay PT gets 5 touches and gets 29 yards, Ingram gets 8 touches and gets 20 yards.. Same Offensive line, same field... Now.. What are the possible issues with his speed and strength? Since August of 2010 Ingram has had three surgeries. Two knee scopes and a turf toe... This is his first healthy season since coming into the NFL and he is not doing much with it. |

A good running back can move a pile, make a play where there is no play, and at the very least beat his one on one. Ingram cant even do that. OF all the backs we have Ingram is supposed to be the one who can bust through the line when there is nothing. Thats the type of back he is supposed to be, and that is why he was drafted. It doesnt matter to me whose fault it is anymore. He is just not getting it done period. No point in keeping a player who can't do his job on the field when there is someone else that may be able to. |

Back to topic at hand, I never really cared for Ingram (any Alabama running back for that matter) when he came out because Alabama had 5 4-5 star recruits blocking for him. If you remember the Cowboys with Emmitt Smith in the early 90s its basically the same thing. I'm an U of Houston alum so I don't care about LSU or the SEC so anything else? |
