Re: Garrett Hartley
Great. When does he start for your team? The Saints need a real place kicker.

a 66% kicker would rate dead last in the NFL.

Re: Garrett Hartley
The problem behind this, is that we had to cut someone and activate Ryan Griffin from the practice squad to keep the Rams from getting him. Which takes up a roster spot, that we would normally be able to use on carrying a third temporary kicker, which is exactly what they've done in the past, when Harley has his emo hissy fits or hits slumps, they carry three ridiculous kickers on the roster with Hartley inactive for a spell. If they cut Hartley right now, he's gone to another team instantly, and won't come back, which would really suck if the new guy doesn't work out either. We could theoretically end up paying Hartley to kick against us, for another team, if we cut him and still owe him his salary. If we had that free roster spot and Griffin on the PS, I have no doubt we would be carrying a second place kicker from somewhere for a game or two or three. It's messed up all around.

Re: Garrett Hartley
If hartley is released, no doubt he will go on to be the NFL scoring leader in FG's
thats just what happens to people that leave our team |

He didn't cost us the game on his own but he definitely contributed. |
