There is a whole lot more to playing offensive line that people that have not played it realize. It is as much synchronized swimming, knowing who to block, as it is gladiator.

When a LB shoots a gap and is in the backfield in a second there are multiple reasons why, more of which is a missed blocking assignment than lack of ability. Who makes the blocking calls at the line? The center does and if DLP is missing calls that is a huge reason for our o-lines issues.

I will back this up with one observation I have, notice all the delay of game penalties against Brees? Notice most of them are him trying to figure out who the Mike is and what gaps to cover.. That is DLPs job, and he isn't doing it..
