So was Adrian Peterson and he has not been anywhere near as affective as last season. Harvin is on a different team, in a different season after an extended leave due to injury. To anticipate that he would be anywhere close to where he was last season is shortsighted, at best.

Exactly, if the front four can get pressure doesn't matter who is open. Got to watch the quick dumps over the line, Harvin with space is dangerous.

Why would that be shortsighted? Did you watch the Minnesota Game? He made an instant impact freeing up wide recievers and creating space for Lynch. It would also be short sighted to suggest he won't make an impact, especially since you guys have no idea how he will be used. Tate, Wilson, Lynch and Harvin. I don't envy Rob Ryan...

Your pass rush consists of Cameron Jordan and Junior Galette. Well gentlemen, meet our Pro Bowl left Tackle Russell Okung and All Pro Center Max Unger.

Re: Percy Harvin

Actually, Seahawks fans should be hoping that the Saints defense doesn't take the "top off" of Percy Harvin, not the other way 'round. Harvin has not played against a stout physical defense in a playoff-level game for quite some time. Are Seattle fans confident, given his history, that he be able to take the punishment that is in store for him, let alone make a run into the playoffs...the Saints are not the same thing defensively as the 2-8 Vikings....if Harvin (or any receiver) exposes himself, or Wilson makes an errant throw, the Saints WILL take the (legal) shot at him:

Who knows....A few friendly introductions to Malcolm Jenkins, Rafael Bush, or Kenny Vaccaro, may make Percy Harvin decide that being able to walk after his football career, is worth more to him than the Seahawks precious Monday night win streak at the C-Link. When I think of Percy Harvin's lengthy history of ankle, hip, shoulder, leg and migraine issues, it does not inspire much confidence in me, that he is a tough guy, or able to play through pain. And his reliability in the Seahawks offense is... completely untested, and that's putting it politely.

Thinking also of kick returns, because that is part of Harvin's specialty....I am remembering how Cowboys special teams star and receiver Dwayne Harris left the game against the Saints with neck and shoulder injuries, sustained on a kick return, and he was not a real factor in the rest of the game, beyond the first quarter. At the time Dallas was #2 in the NFL in kick returns.
