If we're selecting the BPA, and staying at pick no. 27, the positions that will be there are WR, OLB and DL...
Rather have the WR and it be either Jordan Matthews of Vandy or Donte Moncrief of Ole Miss; don't want small WR with a first round pick... Should we geaux OLB, Georgia Tech's Attaochu or BYU's Van Noy are the guys I'd like to see us take and since we just moved to a 34, I'd pass on Van Noy and Shazier who're more 43 OLBers... And we just spent two picks (r4s) to move into the third and select Big John Jenkins and we've an experienced, affordable NT to rotate, I'd pass on Nix in the first round... If Matthews fell or Lewan, maybe... And I'd only take Richburg before the end of the third round, otherwise I'm waiting to spend a fifth on a Center... |

27. New Orleans Saints 2013 Record: 11-5 Team needs: CB, OL, OLB Analysis: The addition of Jairus Byrd gives the Saints one of the top safety tandems in the league. However, they still need to add an edge rusher and must upgrade the offensive line, especially at tackle. With all of the young, talented quarterbacks in the NFC, you can never have enough corners. Surprised Wide Receiver wasn't listed... Can see Tight End becoming a priority should someone offer JG a contract number greater than the Non-Exclusive Tag we've assigned and might be unable to afford... And all the LB positions could stand to be upgraded... |

Yeah, I'm not so sure the talking heads were watching the games; though, they basically got it right with CB and LB being needs... But ILB is a big a need for upgrade as any position on the team... |

I don't know about Moncrief. The name doesnt say number 1 receiver to me, and I feel we need someone who is.
The names to me that stand out Watkins(we won' get him) Benjamin(forget the bad hands as he has Winston throwing to him and Winston is a read option) Cooks(even though he's not the fit for us) The Decker-like players Evans Matthews Robinson Those with a number 1 upside but bust potential Lee Richardson The safest bet Beckham Jr, but he isnt going to be a Calvin or a Decker, he's a slot guy and would be more of a great no.2 contributor. If Colston's not in the slot now he could be what we need. But we need to have another stud on this team besides Brees and Graham. |
