I think PT or Sproles leaves us.

I think PT is just not like he use to be, Sproles...........never seen much from him this season either.

Harper and Smith would be no loss either.

I know Loomis will likely restructure several players but this kinda gives yo a good indicator who may be asked to restructure or clean out their locker..

Approximated cap savings if cut (hopefully some restructure)...

Cap hit minus dead money = Cap savings if cut
Will Smith - 13,902,451 - 2,352,451 = 11,550,000
Darren Sproles - 4,250,000 - 750,000 = 3,500,000
Jabari Greer - 5,825,000 – 2,650,000 = 3,175,000
Pierre Thomas – 2,900,000 – 0 = 2,900,000
Lance Moore - 5,068,750 - 2,357,500 = 2,711,250
Roman Harper - 5,870,000 - 3,690,000 = 2,180,000
Mark Ingram - 2,359,875 - 973,500 = 1,386,375
Patrick Robinson - 2,804,333 - 1,446,833 = 1,357,500

Are you really serious with the Mark Ingram thing? Why in the hell would the Saints let him go when he showed towards the end of the year how good he can be? Like that would be so stupid. They let him go , then he going to go star somewhere else !!! Did you not see how good him and Khiry are together sharing carries. Yes he did fumble once, but name another tine he fumbled that you can just think of off your head?!! I can see PT getting cut or traded, and maybe even Sprolex if the Saints plan on drafting a player like De'Anthiony Thomas to replace him

Smith-gone
Sproles -has value-trade
Greer??? Could add depth if healthy
Thomas-keep
Moore- let go
Harper-keep- might look good in a 3-4
Ingram-could have break-out year if used right
Robinson-bring back

Cut the crap. The fact that Pierre is even in this discussion is mind-boggling. He is the best running back/ receiver we had last year. Way, way, more yards than anyone else. The cut him talk is

Apparantly you only watched the Saints last two games and missed the three years prior.
Ingram has had plenty of chances and failed to deliver. Robinson is the future when it comes to a bruiser back who can get the tough short yards.
Ingrams fumble was the turning point of that game.
And what are you like 12?

I agree. He is vital when it comes to the screen and when he is out it limits our play book. We have been careful with him and used him sparingly and he has plenty left in the tank.
Odd man out is Ingram. They found a better, younger, and cheaper option in Robinson.
I dont see Sproles going anywhere either. If Cadet could do his job as well as he does then Cadet would be doing it. Sproles is a year removed from most all purpose yards and was looking to have a career year the first half of the season. I think his lack of production was because of our blocking. Our line limited every aspect of our run game.

But here is the thing, no one fears PT anymore, he has not been a productive runner all season compared to Khiry or Ingram, so when the defenses see PT on the field, they pretty much know to stop the screen pass which is what has happened all season.
