I don't think that was more than Loomis was willing to pay for Bush at all. I believe he took a chance on Bush not getting an offer sheet to save a few bucks. If Loomis didn't want him he would not have tendered him in the first place.
As for Bush being vocal about not being re-signed, what exactly did he say that was nothing more than making the best out of the situation he was dealt (ie. receiving the offer)? |
