Re: Grade Our Draft!
B or B-, love the Cooks pick up and I like the LBs we got. I don't know if you can really consider anyone taken at the end of the 6th a reach, but I'm not sure about Rooks/ I really would have liked to land Deandre Coleman.

Re: Grade Our Draft!
I voted A, for two reasons.
1. I think the talent they got in the first and second round are immediate "contributors." They are also guys that fit our team dynamic. Good citizens, with a knack for making big plays. 2. I think everyone (maybe save the OT from KSU) makes the roster. We got younger and a little more depth. I really like Sunseri, but only because I think he is a smart player, who also is blessed with uncanny instincts. He also comes off as a guy that will work his ass off. Those are great intangibles to have in pro football. |

Re: Grade Our Draft!
In a vacuum I probably wouldn't have liked it as much, but when combined with the moves the Saints have made this offseason, I'd grade it a solid B.
A center would've been nice, but there's certainly a possibility that this draft haul turns out to be full of starters in a couple of years time. |

Re: Grade Our Draft!
B
We don't have many holes and we decided to gamble a little with some picks. Injury concerns on one side, high upside on other (later rounds). Round 1-2, grade A+. Cooks will be superstar in this league. In our system with coach Payton and Drew - sky is the limit. Baptiste may not be intermediate starter but few years from now we can have helluva cornerback. 4,5,6 grade C. If we can get 1-2 starters from those rounds in next couple of years, then it was worth it. |

C. Cooks and SJB. The rest.....meh. From what I see so far and I hope I'm wrong, one of the worst drafts in the SP era.

Re: Grade Our Draft!
For a Saints draft B+ overall. To me, there are a few projects and 2 possible starters. They make cupcakes of cr4p a large % of the time.
A lot of people wanted 15 picks ..... That's what you do when you went 4-12 and 1/2 your team are on 9+ years in the NFL. We went 11-5 gutted dead weight and picked up a few starters via free agency and the draft. If this were Atlanta's draft id give it a C because of what they can't do with projects and talent. 2013 draft was graded C+ to B-. After the season was over it was better than that. |

Re: Grade Our Draft!
lmao 15 picks is what seattle and the niners had and they managed just fine.
It is just not our style that all. i gave up on the saints dancing around the draft board years ago. If there was a draft to play games in this was it. We could have added so much more talent to this team. oh well it aint our style. |

Re: Grade Our Draft!
Not trying to play politics but there were many good points brought up. We made some great picks IMO, some OK picks with huge upside IMO, and a final dud IMO.
Lots to love, a few not so lovable. B minus, C plus IMO |
