AB in Saints HoF
Just heard about this today, not sure how I feel about it. I know he had some good stats for a couple of season and we won our first play off game with him but when he was bad he was absolutely awful!

Re: AB in Saints HoF
No problem with it (if it's true). He helped with the first playoff game in Saints history and had a great year in 2000. Doesn't mean he was a great Saints player but he is a part of history with that win alone.

Re: AB in Saints HoF
When he was bad, he was real bad, but when he was on he was pretty darn good. You have to admit the dude has his place in Saints history, some good and some bad but all of it very notable in some way.
Those teams were not very good talent-wise though, looking back. We were extremely dependent on Deuce and Joe Horn to do almost all the work and the defense was god-awful. Even if we'd had a top-tier QB back then, we would still not have been anything more than a borderline playoff team praying for a playoff berth. |

Re: AB in Saints HoF
IIRC I think he's 2nd in most all-time Saints QB stats.
As previously stated, at times his freaking bullwhip lazers were absolutely a thing of beauty. He won a hell of a lot more games for us than he lost. Good decision and I'm happy for him. |

I actually loved watching him run the 2-minute drill. He did very well, because he didn't have time to think. Give him another second or two, and that's when it all went downhill.

Re: AB in Saints HoF
We have some legit guys now.. I am against adding marginally above average players just because we had futility for so long.
Can you imagine him even being considered in Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Dallas? |
