So we're already presuming that Seattle is going to go 15-1?

Smart money says don't bother to look at playoff seeding until every team has played at least 8 games.

And honestly, if Seattle cannot be beat on their home field, then why think anyone else should be the NFC representative?

This season isn't about Seattle. This season is about the Saints finding a way to be the best team they can be.

Fortunately it's a long season. There are at least 15 more games for the team to get better.

Honestly defense or no defense, if the Saints can score 34 PPG on the road, I'd take my chances with them...

Danno and Papa Voodoo like this.

Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good.

Re: Its not THAT bad

The Saints are 3-5 in their last 8 games, and 7-6 in their last 13 (since the bye week of last season, .538 win percentage).

When are we allowed to admit that there is possibly a problem, beyond just this one game yesterday?

Re: Its not THAT bad

Also we put up 472 yards of offence on their defence, so there defence wasn't that spectacular! We will be fine, keep the faith .

You think you feel bad as a Saints fan after that loss, or course you do but, imagine how the Pats fans and Tampa fans feel right now. The Bucs got beat by a back up QB!!!!!!!!!!!!

GEAUX SAINTS!!!!

We're 6-5 in our last 11 games with 2 losses to SEA, 1 to CAR, 1 to STL and 1 to Atlanta.

3 of those losses to playoff teams on the road, all 5 losses also on the road.

Combined record of the teams we lost to on the road 57-21

We're 8-0 in our last 8 home games.

What I saw was part of the problem somewhat resolve itself (offense), and a new problem arise (defense).

Last year, the offense was the primary problem down the stretch against good defenses. 7 and 15 to Seattle, 13 to the panthers, 16 to the Rams. All 4 of these games were on the road. Tough to win when scoring less that 21 points.

The defense just got shellacked this weekend. It's unreasonable to think you can give up 37 points and expect to win. In those last 13 games, the team never gave up that many points.

Until we have more data, it's best to call it an aberration.

The AFC west has three teams tied for the division lead after one week. Seattle is tough at home, no doubt, but they are not a given for their division, especially if SF can keep remembering how to score points.
