I disagree with Dungy to a degree. Corey White sat in a zone no one was in or was coming to. He essentially became irrelevant to the entire down. Yes Vaccaro left his zone when everything broke down and had he stayed in it he may have prevented the play from succeeding. But had White assisted in any way by getting into the play when it broke down and the QB flushed it would have prevented Vaccaro needing to leave his zone to pick up another more likely underneath receiver on the play.
Either way, his overall performance has been shoddy and he's taken bad angles on tackles, had trouble staying with anyone in coverage and hasn't been used at all as a blitzer. |
