Please .. not another CB in the 1st round. I like Trae ... actually I like him a LOT but I hope we go OL , then LB in the draft. Hopefully we can find a solid #2 corner in FA (Culliver, Buster Skrines, Jackson, Cox).

Corners coming out of college are so risky.

There are 6 foot and bigger corners that can be drafted in the later rounds that could make an impact with this team so I really hope they address OL and LB earlier in the draft this year

I know its a highlight tape and the music blows chunks but come on, when was the last time the Saints had a ILB like that, Vaughn Johnson maybe?

DP ... no doubt he is a VIOLENT player & I like his instincts. He has the talent and ability to get better with coaching. With his size & frame, kind of reminds me of Chris Borland (who has the making of becoming a very good NFL LB) .

Perryman would be a golden pick in the 2nd (assuming he falls that far) :bng:

I'd prefer to look at their ability than their size. We went with a big CB last year and our 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th string CBs, all 6-0 and under, kept his tall ass on the bench.

I betcha GB grabs him in the 1st. If all the top LB and OL prospects are gone by our pick,I would grab Perryman and I don't don't care what any moron 'expert' has to say about it. That guy is gonna be a hell of a player.

Joe Vitt is at Mississippi State today for the pro day... Hopefully he gets a real good look at Benardrick McKinney and meets with him. Pick 13 may be too high for him but damn he'd be a nice replacement for Hawthorne.

McKinney reminds me of Hawthorne. While the kid is athletic, I'm not sure he can cover well enough.

He'll slip into the 3rd round.

I think Kendricks might be the type of ILB we need next to Lofton. The guy can move sideline to sideline and cover.

Strengths

Confident with a downhill, attacking mindset. Good feet to slide, follow and burst to developing run plays. Can turn and chase sideline to sideline. Diagnoses quickly and attacks run fits while avoiding blockers. Is always around the play. One of the most productive tacklers in college football over the last three years. Outstanding at sinking hips and changing direction. Exhibits good play speed and is able to cover man-to-man in space. Good zone awareness and makes plays on the ball.

Weaknesses

Despite the high tackle numbers, doesn't meet ball carrier behind the line of scrimmage as much as he could. Could use more weight on his frame. Will drop his head at times when meeting ball carrier in the hole. Wasn't much of a factor as a blitzer.

Kendricks is an intelligent leader with high football character. Scouts don't see the same explosiveness in Eric as they see in his brother Mychal (Eagles LB), but they do see the same level of production and desire. Eric Kendricks plays with plus instincts against the run and pass. He has the athleticism and demeanor to be an impactful, productive outside linebacker in a 4-3 for years to come.
