Re: 2015 draft??
R1 OT LA'EL COLLINS LSU
All the flashy combine LB/DL were gone. I still like this pick. R2 CB JALEN COLLINS LSU my #1 #2 CB was gone Collins is the booby prizes. settling for and excellent unpolished CB with upside was hard to do RB JEREMY LANGFORD MICHIGAN STATE Always go for a complete RB is my motto. always has been way under valued. R4 G ALI MARPET HOBART Developmental OG/OC for the future. besides we need Hobart in the line up with all the other small school OL we have. Trivia: name all the school the start OL for the saint came from? R5 CB CHARLES GAINES LOUISVILLE Gaines in the 5th? long shot R6 DT DERRICK LOTT CHATTANOOGA Ok the big upstart IMO at the combine. did what he was suppose to do. R7 OLB EDMOND ROBINSON NEWBERRY Round 7 always fluid as usual and change with the tides. here is my developmental pick of the week. The combine confirmed one thing, this is not a deep class for 34 LBers. the few i like were all gone by the end of round 2 and the few i would reach on were also gone. CB depth upgraded. OL get a solid infusion of youth DL and LB get one toy each toys |
Re: 2015 draft??
Waynes ran faster than expected, topping everyone at the combine with his 4.32 40-time. Very nice, i like that.
Byron Jones jumped out of the building with His broad & vertical. Vertical - 44.5" Record broad jump - 12'3" woooww! That was unexpected. Looks good on tape, but didnt see much of that athleticism. Gotta go back & look. |
Re: 2015 draft??
That's great, he can work out. How does Jones look on the field?

All these drills should be done in full-on pads, with maybe the bench press being the exception... |

Jones is a solid player. i watched a few of his games. came away thinking man or press was not his game and zone might be needed. now i have to wonder about coaching. better at safety than CB in other words. but as a day three pick up? yep worth the pick. not a bad return man either. lats see that clocked speed Jallin Collins looked as good as promised Shaw looked great even if he is a false savior. 26 bench aint shabby at all Gains and Rowe impressed also. my boy Kevin Johnson was disappointing a bit. now i wait for his pro day. but the kid can play Ibra Campbell i was looking forward to see. disappointed he was out. but 23 bench was very impressive. now off to the pro day. kid is silky smooth Craig Mager Texas State caught my eye. got see if i can see more of him |

Re: 2015 draft??
They are saying we may miss out on the top pass rushers. We waited one year too late. Everyone now wants the SEC and ACC.
|
Re: 2015 draft??
We will be able to get either a very good pass rusher, offensive lineman or NT and we need all three
