Might have to trade up in the 2nd round to make sure we get Anthony... Unless we feel like the 31st pick isn't too much of a stretch for him. I really want the guy.

Keep running the mock draft, scenarios and Beasley keeps falling to the Falcons...

This draft, Two things really need to happen...

First, we have to be sure to move in front of Atlanta if Vic Beasley falls past the third spot without overpaying (i.e. don't trade 13 and 31 for the 4 or the 5)...

Second. we have to make sure we make no less than three (3) selections in the first fifty (50) picks...

Funny you say that, using the Trade Value Chart, see

2014 NFL Draft Trade Value Chart

And crunching the numbers...

First, DraftTek has a problem with their chart in that there's not enough point value between the 32nd pick (last pick of the first round) and the 33rd pick (first pick of the second round) because the first round picks, per the current CBA, can have a club option extra year added onto their contracts favorable to retaining a key player for a team favorable cap number...

Secondly, we may be able to advance the 13 pick with a trade partner that would allow us to move back the 31st pick in exchange for an early second round pick and doing the same with our second round 12 pick for an early third round pick, the trade partner would gain siginficant ground by gaining an add'l 1st round pick and advancing their third round pick to a early-mid second round pick...

Just spitballing...

Still like the idea of huddling with the Redskins and redoing a contract for Galette to get us a favorable cap number this season (not that it matters now with the ideal free agents gone) and moving him and the 13th pick in exchange for the 5th pick...

move up to Washington pick would cost us both 1s and Jr correct? that is how i see it. but i think they would want one of our OG more. anyways that is too high a price in my opinion based on teams needs IMO.

No, I was saying a swap of pick no. 13 and Galette for the no. 5 pick, no extra picks...

I mentioned also trading our picks 13 and 31 for for the 5th and their early second pick...

They need a pass 4-3 pass rusher that's under contract and Galette definitely has value there as he's a proven commodity and they'll know that has weight...

Junior is a poor fit for what we're trying to do scheme-wise...

Either way, we need to move Grubbs and get a younger, effective left guard...

I wouldn't be mad at all if we drafted this guy at #13

I think he could be a better rookie starter at G than what Jahri Evans was and he was pretty darn good which would let us cut either guard and free up a huge bit of cap. He might be a good RT too.
