Lesson 4: The Shift Keys
![]() This is one of the most important lessons in the course. Learning to use the shift keys without losing your home row orientation is one of the most important, and difficult skills you have to acquire in order to become a competent typist. The shift key is always pressed by the pinky finger opposite to the one hitting the other key. When you go to press a shift key, you may have to move your hand slightly to reach it, but try to get there mainly by stretching your pinky finger, allowing your remaining fingers to keep as much contact with the home row as possible. Try not to rotate or bend your wrists, as this will throw your home row orientation off and cause you to lose your grounding. This lesson also introduces the colon, which, like the semi-colon is pressed with the right-hand pinky finger, while holding the left shift key down. Taking the time to quickly read the Principles for Effective Learning before you begin is ALWAYS time well spent! Lesson 4: The Shift Keys - Peter's Online Typing Course |

Re: Saints players offer strong support for Rob Ryan
RR cannot take the credit for the 4rth ranked d and the next year when you screw the pooch blame everyone else. I am not saying he is doing that, but my point is I gave him the credit for the 4rth ranked d why wouldn't I give him credit for this season too?

Re: Saints players offer strong support for Rob Ryan
why is it so hard to see that when rob came here he was handed a gift. the easiest group to turn around in the nfl. so easy a one eyed tailless monkey could have done the job.
by mid season of that same year the system started to fail. by the end of this year it was in the tank and the players he was given were under valued and let go. there replacements did not do perform nearly as well on the field. now every one is blaming the staff? if the staff is failing then who is teaching them the system so they can teach it to players? why is is it so hard for people that back Rob to admit that maybe just maybe they were wrong. two wrongs still do make a right. banging your head against the same brick wall in different spots does not make it hurt less. Rob is like Spags in the fact that no matter what they will not deviate from their schemes no matter how bad it fails. neither can adjust or is unwilling to adjust no matter how bad things get. why is this so hard to see? |

Re: Saints players offer strong support for Rob Ryan
Our problem is we have a combination of players that are too old and some that aren't old enough. 4 0f the 5 OLinemen are past their prime especially for what they are getting paid. Defense is young and to me Lofton and Hawthorne aren't stepping up as leaders. When Vaccaro makes a late hit or stupid penalty they should be grabbing him by the jersey or facemask and giving him a little talk. I think too much emphasis was placed on turnovers and not enough on the fundamentals of wrapping up and tackling. We don't have a receiver that will come back and fight for the football. They all sit back and wait for the ball to come to them. Would love to steal Julio Jones from the Failclowns. I think Jordan is gone, but if he stays he needs to work on his strength. He gets man handled too much. Like to see Hicks bulk up a little more and use him more as NT. Want to see more of Byrd, Vaccaro and Warren on the field next year. We need DL,OL and LB's in that order in my opinion.

Re: Saints players offer strong support for Rob Ryan
Okay, so ask, compare what has changed since last year?!?
I think the biggest difference is Galette coming out the closet as a complete douche and distraction post new contract; Vaccaro's complete opposite personality from his rookie season; and complacency among the linebackers in rolling their contracts over for poor salary cap management... |

Re: Saints players offer strong support for Rob Ryan
Personally, I like Rob Ryan. Of course he knows defense. Look at his bloodline. He's perfect for New Orleans. That D did not have much talent. Those LBs were way below AVG most of the year. Though Hawethorne looked good the last couple of games and that helped. As did the play of Pierre Warren. I'd like to see Rob Ryan get another year at least.
