This year no one... And that was a huge part we missed on offense... Yeah Brandin Cooks end around worked a few times but he isn't a RB.... He is a WR

Re: Saints wide receiver Marques Colston says loss of Darren Sproles contributed to offensive struggles
Bush trade lead us to Sproles. that was a solid option but his impact was not so great as Bush
Sproles trade leads us to cook. that failed to have the same kind of impact Cooks lack of impact on defenses could lead us yet again to drafting another player that will cause teams to adjust to SP toy. Cadet and Ingram give the saints the rosters spots. my gut says the saints will be looking at Melvin Gordon, Duke Johnson or Ameer Abdullah to fill the roll i like Rannell Hall UCF to fill Cadets roll SP offensive game requires this type of impact player. always has and always will. |

I'd like them to draft Duke in one of the mid rounds

Damn good thread going on here! The Super Bowl has been mentioned
and I'm thinking that was the 2009 season. We are now coming into 2015 it's almost hard to believe how long ago that really was. |

Re: Saints wide receiver Marques Colston says loss of Darren Sproles contributed to offensive struggles
All I'm saying is Sproles was a great player for us and fit our scheme well, but the last year he was here he really wasn't setting the world on fire and I know most of you can agree with that. Sproles leaving had little to no effect at all on our offensive struggles. Dropped passes and Not protecting Brees was the problem, along with lack of emotion and execution. I think we let go of Spoles at the right time.

which is why I'm back to being hard on every move they make again, the honeymoon is over for winning a championship plus the window is closing because like it or not accept the fact that the Saints will spiral back to mediocrity once Brees retires

Re: Saints wide receiver Marques Colston says loss of Darren Sproles contributed to offensive struggles
Then why didn't you ask me instead of being a douche? My point is not that complicated...we won a Super Bowl without him and now all of a sudden our offense can't function because he left? We all know what contributed to our problems, and losing Sproles isn't one of them.

This is a completely different team then 09. Hell, by 2011 when Sproles was brought on we only had 10 players remaining from the SB roster. We won a Superbowl without Cooks, Jimmy, Stills, Ingram so we might as well get rid of all of them... Oh wait Goodwin won a Superbowl with us so obviously we should keep him, can we bring Shanle back too? Not trying to be a Douche, but I do feel I'm pointing out the obvious. Lastly, Colston didn't say the offense could function without him, he just said they were different and less effective without him. |

Things end up different if Cooks doesn't go on IR and the play calling wasn't so predictable for most of the season
