Sproles production dropped off, everyone on the D side knew how to play their D when Sproles was on the field, he was Brees go to guy. Now since he's gone Brees go to guy is Graham and just like when Sproles was on the field the D knows just how to game plan for the Brees to Graham connection. Our drop-off on the O-line has made things alot worse and believe this ,if that line don't get fixed and our high dollar TE don't start fighting off 189lb. CB's it's going to be a very long season. At Brees age ( window closing) a great ground game is going to be needed to compliment him. I would agree 100% our play calling has gone stale and been figured out by alot of D's. The O-line is fixable, I don't think that high dollar TE we have is.

I agree with all of this 100%. Graham shows pitiful effort and I can't help but wonder if it's contagious. He doesn't block, break tackles or try hard to catch off-target passes. He is one of the highest paid players on the team. It's time for his effort to match his talent. I know he is one of the most dangerous pass-catchers in the league, and has sometimes looked like an NFL MVP, but this isn't basketball and if Jimmy wants to be remembered as a great football player, he's gonna have to start playing a little meaner and nastier.

Very true

If a pass isn't directly heading towards his chest Jimmy puts little effort in to catch it, most of the time he just sticks one hand out and bats the ball up into the air resulting in a pick.

The worst thing was when Jimmy started a fight pregame vs Seattle in the playoffs talking about how good he was, then he went on to catch 1 pass for 5 yards, with 3 drops and flinched every time he saw earl Thomas.

Good grief. You couldn't be more wrong if you tried.

He's certainly got better at blocking but I don't think he tries that hard to catch off target passes

E.g the one vs browns, Brees overthrew it a little, Jimmy still could have caught it but let it go straight through his hands and it got picked, whilst the browns ran it back Jimmy just walked away.

I've seen Colston alligator arm a few off target passes too. Is he soft? Does he lack effort?

Colston in his prime didn't disappear at the very moment that DB's get a little physical with him.

New England showed the league that if you hit Jimmy at the line he loses interest and lacks effort making the catch.

I've never seen Colston not show 100% effort to catch the ball. When did Colston have a chance to catch a pass and neglect to try for it? I cry B.S. You dismiss my point by saying,"well Colston did it too" which is a weak point anyway considering Graham's contract, when in fact Colston has probably never missed a reception due to lack of effort

I remember than one, there was another one this season where he also quit on a fumble I believe, can't recall the game but he could have totally tacked the guy but just stood there. I was shocked to be honest. Very sloppy play on that level. Always make an effort, even if you think it's not a turnover. We have to fix those details next season or it will be more of the same.

Also pushing off FTW when all eyes or on you. Can't do that ever. Almost a given you're not going to get away with it, even with a slight push off.

Where am I so wrong? You can't tell me it doesn't bother you when Graham has a corner in front of him and instead of fighting for every yard, steps out of bounds. His blocking is poor at best and by the end of last season we saw Jimmy playing almost exclusively at WR playing often with Watson on the field in the TE position. I wondered often last year if Graham really has a personal problem with Brees possibly stemming from Brees public stance on Graham's position status. Last year there were multiple times when Graham was thrown less than perfect passes and made almost no effort to catch the ball. The one against Cleveland was unforgiveable. It went right between his hands. Dropping a pass when it's right on target is one thing, but not even touching it.......C'MON MAN!
