Re: A Thread for the non-Chicken Little's
I took alot of positive away. Probably because my expectations were very low coming into it. I thought the defense played well for a bunch of rookies once they got settled in. I think they will continue to improve as they gain experience. Pair that with the fact we will get some guys back from injury and they might actually be decent.
The Cardinals are a good team. A lot better than any team the rest of our division played. Offensive line did a better job of pass blocking. I will give them a pass on run blocking because the Cards have been tough to run on. Anyway as far as building I think the foundation is in place with our defense. It was their first game against a very capable offense and most all of them didnt play here last year. Hell most of them hadnt played a down of NFL football until today. If they can play well enough to keep us in it until we start getting people back from injury this team might be alright. You wanna fire the coach? Im listening. Who out there is better? Name a better candidate and I might not argue but I cant think of any. |

We aren't going to win the Super Bowl this year barring really speedy improvement, but we're on the right track.

Re: A Thread for the non-Chicken Little's
My positives would be -
Saints first half coaching (second-half we got outcoached) Hocker - no kicking problems thank God. And that first-game is very important for a young kicker. Lelito - I think he might be a better guard than center. Played pretty well IMO. Vaccaro - looked better than last year for sure Snead and Coleman - These two seem talented enough we should target them more and let them make mistakes so they can get better. Defense - Tackling was pretty good and new guys in the secondary like Breaux and Swann played hard. Anthony looked good. I hope we get Keenan Lewis back soon so we could play more press w/ him and Browner on the outsides. And one negative I will harp on is the TE situation. We don't need to have a great TE, we just need to get the decent ones we have involved at the right times and let them win matchups against linebackers. Daniel Fells from this game is a perfect example. |

Re: A Thread for the non-Chicken Little's
Some positives and some negatives no doubt.
The biggest issue is the redzone offense. Can't go 1-4 in the redzone and expect a win. Brees and Payton need to find a way to score without JG. |
