A Thread for the non-Chicken Little's

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Look, of course we looked awful today. Yes, the window most definitely looks closed. Who saw something positive today? Argue in other threads... This is for how we build off of what we saw today....

We build by starting fresh with a new GM & HC.

Re: A Thread for the non-Chicken Little's

Didn't think we looked awful. Thought we looked young and thought we played very hard. Am excited that with that effort and no major ijuries we have a real shot at winning the division this year. I think we played a team that people are going to be surprised how good they are (if they remain relatively healthy).

I think, unlike last season, we have a lot to be excited about and are headed in the right direction.

I made a thread about how Swann looks fantastic... That's one positive.

Re: A Thread for the non-Chicken Little's

Positives

Swann
Kikaha
Anthony
Snead
Ingram and Khiry catching the ball

Negatives

O line - especially run blocking
Colston - just cut him now
Sean Payton and his so called "expert play calling"
No WR's who can consistently get open and catch

We should have drafted WR's instead of Peat and Grayson.

Why start a thread asking people to find something that wasn't there? There's really nothing to build on from this. Everything has to be vastly different from what we saw today, bottom line. The injured guys need to get back quick, and who knows how effective they'll be right off the bat.

I saw a couple individuals do some things, but that's not enough to build on. Swann seemed good, Snead made one big play, and Kikaha was either close to getting a sack or completely out of the play all day. I like him, and the fumble caused was obviously nice, but he doesn't have any pass rush moves. He is quick off the edge but if he doesn't beat his man immediately he has no change of direction and just flies off the screen.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

What did I say in the original post?! This isn't a thread for you... Reading comprehension 101.

agree with all but the o-line... run blocking wasnt good but drew had all day to throw even when he got sacked.

I read, comprehended and responded to your post, funny man.

You don't BUILD off this. If it were a better effort, I could see saying "hey, we're right there, just clean up a few things and build off this". This wasn't that kind of performance. I gave you my individual positives, did you comprehend that?
