Even J.J. Watt agrees with me about Right Tackle

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; No body can handle Watt one on one. To even try was stupid. Wherever Watt lined up, there should have been a TE on that side for help or even keep a TE in the backfield to pick him up ...

JJ eats OT as a snack. what concerns me is to length we had to go to just to slow him down much less stop him.

Blocking TE and RB that can block were glaring areas of need. Watson out on the flanks killed us.

Round 2?

I watch EVERY Saints game. With that said, every play I cringe watching Strief block. It seems every play his guy is rushing Drew or putting him on his back. No doubt it was Strief's fault Drew got hurt. He alone took 2 more years off of Drew's career. Our OL sucks and Strief is the weak link.

Strief will be best used as a backup/veteran leadership for Peat. Its time!

The O-line insufficiencies as a whole are a direct result of one player's contract that the o-line is there to protect ironically.

Well explain the Manning brothers and Brady. All have huge contracts with lower paid o-lines. Infact, all the o-lines mentioned make less than ours. It's poor decisions by our FO that has caused our OL problem not Drews contract.

Until this year Strief graded well on PFF. Unfortunately he doesn't grade well this year and he's been failing the eyeball test for years. It's another questionable contract written to aging veterans.

It's almost like they dont trust their drafting skills so they overpay for the vets already on the team.

This team is and always has been, loyal to a fault. They act like they owe players something. This is a business, period. they want to model after the Patriots but they dont. Belichick don't blink at benching or getting rid of players. Prime example, the receiver that muffed the punt in the game against Denver, he was let go the next day. A team who is down there 2 main receivers and just lost Gronk, fires a guy for a mistake. Does our coaching staff have the balls to do that? We all know that answer.
