AR plays in Wisconsin and now lives here part of the year (?)
JJ & Tony both had MVP votes, both born in Wisconsin and grew up in the Suburbs of Milwaukee. The kicker...both play in Texas.

Tony is not as popular as JJ; never was or will be. My guess is that he went "Hollywood" too soon. His jersey was never a hot commodity.

JJ is genuine and his community impact is huge. Stores carry Texan 99 along side massive quantity of green & gold.

Someday, I pray he is named Walter Payton Man of the Year. I don't know if he was nominated this year, if he was, he needs to wait or share because this belongs to Ben Watson.

Snap, placement, kick by Hartley, and it is — AND IT'S GOOD!
IT'S GOOD! IT'S GUH-HUH-HOOD! Ha ha ha! Pigs have flown! Hell has frozen over! The Saints are on their way to the Super Bowl!

Wow with all our defensive troubles we have to deal with a porous offensive line. We have a long way to go to get back to respectability. I think we need to fire all of them from our owner and down.

True however Sean P doesn't really bench "his" guys but in all fairness to Strief, he was lined up across from arguably the best D lineman over the last 20+ years. I think he is the MVP of the league, and already has HALL OF FAME numbers (ponder that one). I find it very hard to find any weakness in Watt's game. Dude can beat double teams & still find ways to get involved in the run game.

What the Saints organization needs to do is bench the knuckle head who thought it would be a wise idea to line up Streif one on one against Watt .

PFF was wrong any and every time they had Strief rated as a top RT. He's the been the same his whole career. Somebody said it, the Saints are too loyal. Also, what does our front office have against signing healthy players and players with speed? Our whole defensive line is slow. Our linebackers are slow outside of Anthony. Our secondary is slow outside of Breaux. We're a slow team.

Not sure I agree with that. Byrd wasn't a slow safety. Wilson wasn't a slow corner. Ellerbe wasn't a slow LB. Browner was but I think they hoped to get a defensive captain who could help bring a winning mentality with him and it failed. I think some of their moves were tailored to increasing back 7 speed but injuries and then subsequent negative momentum derailed that.

Almost all our draft picks for the past couple years have been tailored to improving team speed regardless of position.

That has a lot to do with Cooks only playing half a season last year, 2 undrafted WR's in their 2 year and a 400 yr old Colston.

It's a thankless job, offensive line. This thread reminds me of how the fans did Jeff Backus during his career ... guy never missed a game in 10+ yrs, took on the best defensive lineman in the NFL and would sit in a tub of ice for something like a day & a half after a game ... but yeah, he's the reason the Lions sucked, .

Re: Even J.J. Watt agrees with me about Right Tackle

C'mon Slo...this isn't the first game he has looked like crap. Drew has been getting killed from the right side all year. Yeah, not all of the sacks have been on Strief but in THIS thread, Watt is saying he is garbage. At first, it seems like just trash talk but the guy said the same stuff after the game when interviewed. He was upset because he had to keep sacking Drew and he likes Brees. So this seems to be the appropriate thread to bash on Strief.
