The umpire is the official that lines up approximately five yards off the line of scrimmage on the defensive side of the ball. His duties include:


• Making sure the offense has no more than 11 men on the field

The Saints games aren't the only games with poor ref's. It has been in every telecast game I have seen this year. It's as if the ref's are playing Fan Duel or something. The games are getting longer & boring because of all of the penalties.

There was also that call on a punt or kickoff where the Panther player deliberately shoved one of our guys in the back causing him to fall down as he was running to cover the returner. It happened right in front of a ref and no call. I mean right ****ing there

the last play happened in front of my dad's seats, he said Cooks was held before the ball got there, I was in the terrace so I couldn't tell. I told him good teams get those calls

Cooks could have had that ball. I thought it was a miscommunication but he had his man beat
