this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I actually thought that we\'d stopped talking about Watson and were investigating the importance of the MLB position in general....

Yeah, that\'s what I wanted to talk about. I just had to address BlackandBlue\'s post. He think\'s I have an agenda...LMAO!

I have no vendetta against Watson. I have a need to state what I think is best for the team.

My point wasn\'t that Ruff should be starting. My piont was that just because folks tell me that they saw Watson make a few plays doesn\'t mean I\'m sold on the guy.

I saw Watson out of position more times than I saw him making plays. If that gets under your , or anyone elses skin, then I can\'t help that and I\'m certainly not alone in feeling that way.

I\'m not trying to get under anyone\'s skin. That\'s simply the way I feel about Watson.
You saw him out of place on a few plays? OK, what scheme were they running, was he in man or zone, and where should he have been on that play?
I never said Ruff should be starting. But your crusades are inconsistent. You\'ve been a member of this board for two years now, if you thought MLB was such an important facet of the defense, why is this the first time I\'m hearing it? God knows, we\'ve had this problem for a while now.
It doesn\'t get under my skin, cause it\'s pretty easy to figure out who knows what they are talking about and who doesn\'t. Makes reading this board alot easier, cause I can skip over 80% of the BS.

EDIT: and JKool, I will reopen any damn conversation I feel like, capeche :P
P.S. Did you like how I optioned to EDIT my current post in favor of creating a new one

Yeah, yeah, yeah...

This is what I know B&B. Waston may go on to be the next Ray Lewis. But, he didn\'t make enough plays last year at MLB!

Now you might want to disagree with that, but we did have the 32nd ranked defense in the NFL and Watson was our MLB. It wasn\'t all his fault, but he certainly had enough opportunities to make more plays than what he did!

And this isn\'t the fist time I\'ve brought up the MLB position. In fact, I\'ve brougth it up more than a few occassions.

What are you trying to say? Are you sold on Watson? If you are that\'s fine. But, I ain\'t!

And why tell me what you skip over on this board? Is that suppose to interest me or something? :P

Thanks for answering the questions I presented to you. Way to prove your point.
I\'m not saying I\'m sold on Watson. I mentioned to you in a previous thread on this same subject that I saw him make a few plays last year, was he stellar? No, but I\'m not as willing to dismiss him after one year as you are. Will he be our starting MLB for years to come? I have no clue, he will need to improve. But I don\'t start threads with the motive to do nothing more than irritate others on this board. I thought we were past all that, since the AB threads have died off.

.

Hold on there amigo!!

What the heck makes you think I want to talk about Watson to irritate somebody? That\'s just you inventing things.

And, quite frankly, I\'m offended by your accusations.

I\'m not the biggest Courtney Watson fan ... NO!

It seems like you\'re getting offended by my \"opinion\" of Watson. I really can\'t help that.

Look, you\'re the one making these ridiculous accusations. Why you feel the need to do that I have no idea.

When you make those accusations, then you are singling me out and you\'re just flat out wrong.

BnB, the edit function? A novel idea...

You know that most of the time I\'m just tryin\' to getcha out o\' hidin\', buddy.

Also, I wasn\'t challenging your desire to (nor right to) talk about something else, I was merely trying to determine if the conversation that we were having was going to continue.
Perhaps I phrased that poorly?

EDIT: I went through all the trouble of looking up OLBs that are impact players, I just wanted to know if that had any power to sway the view on the value MLB position, and if there were any thoughts on that.

One other thing. I\'m going to state this for the last time.

I don\'t want to cut Watson or anything like that. I like Watson. I just don\'t like him as our starting MLB heading into this season. I want to get a proven MLB and move Watson to WLB.

Why does this offend some people? Mike Detillier stated the exact samething in one of his articles.

I don\'t know if folks just read what they want to read or they just don\'t like hearing anything negative about Watson.

But, this conversation was going very well for the most part.

Maybe it offended some people when I said Haslett has sold Watson to them. No offesnse intended, but he\'s sold me on a few guys myself. Like Tebucky, Hodge, and James Allen.

I thought those guys were going to get it done too. At least that\'s what Haslett told us.

To bite a line...

Is that suppose to interest me or something?
As usual, you\'re missing the point of my posts entirely. You take this as me being offended by what you have to say about Watson. I\'m not questioning your opinion of Watson. I\'m questioning your intent of this thread by creating it. I\'ll give you the first line of this thread as an example:

You want to talk about the Saints\' front office really doing a great job of selling a player to the fans, just take a look at Courtney Watson.
As if to put the average Saint fan in a light of being a moron for not thinking for themselves and deriving their own opinion from what they see on the field. You claim to have made your own opinion on the subject by offering this gem...

I saw Watson out of position more times than I saw him making plays.
...but when asked a few questions concerning that remark, you deflect them by offering up...

Yeah, yeah, yeah...
Wow. I\'m at a loss. You nailed the heart of your subject in three, albeit repetitive, words.

And this isn\'t the fist time I\'ve brought up the MLB position. In fact, I\'ve brougth it up more than a few occassions.
Great! I\'m sure we\'ve all touched on that subject at one time or another. My point was, I never saw you post a thread with Ruff not being the answer at MLB, as your subject, after he was brought in.
I just think you BS sometimes, I think it amuses you to know that you have the ability to rub people the wrong way. Don\'t ask for specific instances, I\'m liable to give you answers like, \"Yeah, yeah, yeah...\"

EDIT: And JKool, I joke with you cause you\'re cool in my book. Sometimes it\'s dry humor, but you get the picture. It\'s all in fun.
