This is certainly a surprise. I wasn't even aware he was a free agent. He's not better than Ben Watson was for us this year, but at least he's younger. Hope he works out and doesn't become the next David Sloan.

Stats have shown that he had 2 more TD catches in 2014(last year Colts had major injury problems at QB) than Watson had last year(his best receiving year ever) with 20 less passes thrown to and 50 less receiving yards. That pretty much proves he's better when he has a QB who can get him the ball...

I'm not really worried that Fleener had a couple of more TD's. People kept saying Josh Hill was going to be great because he scored a few td's in limited playing time. Ben Watson was more reliable this year than Fleener was for the Colts. He has kind of had the dropsies at times. He did improve last year for them, and I'm hopeful he continues an upward trend.

I did say that Ben was better THIS YEAR, for us. I recognize it was his best year, and that he is getting old. My point was that it's not really an upgrade right now, but it has more long term value, at least potentially. You never know what will happen when a player changes systems.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.
