These franchises spend dozens of hours on players they are planning on targeting where the rest of us cannot find more than 20 minutes worth of information on the web.
Of course they believe in him. That doesn't make them right. Just like I could be wrong... or right. He is nevertheless unproven. You seem to lack definition of certain words like "project" and "unproven". I don't care if the Saints have watched this guy sleep every night, eat in the morning, practice, take a dump and shower... Until you play somebody, you are unproven.

Myles Jack and Jaylon Jones were selected in the second round, despite the fact that they may never fully recover. Does that sound like teams doing homework, or hoping for the best? What's my point? You are naive if you think teams don't operate on gut feelings as much as film, when they see an athletic player.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Sure they do. You can't hit a home run unless you give it a powerful swing. If they feel like he can be great then why not take the shot.

Right, so we've finally come to some agreement.

My sticking point in this particular case, is it didn't seem like the appropriate time to take a shot. But they did, so it's in the books now. Time to start looking forward.
