I don't care if you want to blow sunshine up the butt of every person associated with the team. But I'm someone who believes in calling it as I see it.

You have no legitimate argument to defend this line. You have only repeated that we should wait to see them. We have seen them many times. I don't know what magic potion you think they have taken to solve all their issues.
No, you haven't seen them. You have seen some of them with other nonstarters in the backfield and at TE. You have seen them with QB's we do not want in a game. You have not seen one snap of the starters as a unit in a real game against a real opponent. That is a fact. That cannot be disputed. You can believe what you wish but it isn't worth anymore than the credibility you give PFF.

Our starters last year were Armstead, Kelemete/Lelito, Unger, Evans and Strief.

Our projected starters for week 1 are Armstead, Peat, Unger Evans and Strief.

What haven't I seen now?

An offense ranked outside the top 5?

How exactly is that the Offenses problem? I'm not following you, unless you're agreeing with me that the offense isn't the problem. I didn't read every post in this thread.

I think its pretty clear our main problem has been fielding one of the worst defenses in NFL history for the past several years.

Danno, I don't know how many times we have to have this argument on here. Throwing the ball 50 times a game will always yield big yards. But it also leads to interceptions and sacks/sack fumbles. And at the end of the day we aren't putting up more than 25 a game, which is about average for a half decent offense now. The offensive ranking is extremely hollow.

The question was about the offensive line, not where we rank in yards.

The defense rightfully takes a lot of the blame. There have been ten thousand threads about that. This team has been bottom of the league in rushing, gives up tons of pressures, and just doesn't sustain enough drives, particularly in the biggest games. They can still feast when going against defenses ranked in the lower half.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

All ya'll on all sides of the arguments can blame Brees, Offense, too many yard, lack of points, better offensive line, suck offensive line, whatever --- in the end I blame Sean Payton and Mickey Loomis. They have had a lot of talent in recent years ---
  • Wasted draft picks (Greyson is typical, could have had more o-line).
  • Playcall gets too ambitious.
  • Too quick to pass, not enough mix of pass and run.
  • Can't beat teams who smack us in the face.

That said, I hope I'm wrong and I hope we go all the way and shut my chubby azz up!
