A SP trade rumor that would at least make sense

Bree's best statistical year in 5 years. Bree's is going no where. SP has been inconsistent for the past 3 years and it seems to be getting worse every year. SP I would take a 2nd this year and a 3rd next. I would not trade Bree's unless he lost his throwing arm in a car accident

Don't need to trade Payton, I would've said they need to to get rid of Loomis but it seems like he finally got a scouting team together to build a team. What need to be done is to find some coaches that can develop some of these young players,,,especially at lb and DL

Brees cost $37 million vs the cap next year. He is not leaving.

After 3 years below .500, I'd take a #1 for SP in a heartbeat

Nope. You have that wrong. Brees' cap hit next year is only $19 million. His dead cap would be $39 million if cut today. BIG difference.

True, cut is $37, traded = $24 million.
Either way, not going to sacrifice $24m and not have a starting QB
