He and Sam Shields are worth a look.

Some veteran leadership in the backfield would be nice. All of the glass cb.'s we have might learn a thing or 2. Maybe how to turn their heads around for one.

I literally have no idea what's happening, I haven't seen a Saints CB turn to look for the ball since 2009 when Porter tipped the dolphins QB's pass to Sharper.

Hasn't Shields been plagued by concussions? Word is that's why he was released. The last thing we need is yet another hospital ward corner.

Unfortunately yes. Stephen Gilmore is another CB in free agency but he apparently wants 14 mil a year.

That isn't gonna cut it. The Saints signed Browner and James Laurinitus  (both brought in for veteran leadership). How did that turn out?

This team needs play makers and ball hawks. You know..dawgs. It's time to win and get back into post season play.

Adding a guard and a CB are the most pressing needs. Not real keen on adding free agent DE they cost so much and good ones rarely get away unless they are a problem. Adding a LB at a reasonable price would be good.

I agree we need playmakers and we need ball hawks, with that being said who do we actually have on the secondary that does this now? Browner and Laurintis were done, bad decisions, one on Ryan the other on Allen. Then there was a time we signed a veteran(Sharper) for the backfield (Allen owes him for jumpstarting his career in my opionion) and we all know how that turned out? Veteran leadership can go a long way in helping younger players.

If it's my $30M, I sign Hightower and Melvin Ingram.

I'm slightly curious as to why the Chargers don't want to tag or re sign Ingram.
Anyone with insight on this?

Recent super bowl history tells us that spending money on big time FAs can put you over the top. Denver got obliterated by Seattle, signs big FAs on day one and win it all two years later.

What I'm getting at is it's who you spend it on that matters.
