Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
We can talk all about the players we picked up in FA and the draft, and those we didn't,
...but Mike Nolan and Ryan Nielsen will be the biggest off-season acquisitions... |

Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
“My impression so far is that he’s very capable. He’s also a guy that’s kind of versatile. I think his best position is in the middle,” Nolan said. “When you play a (defense) like we do with the three bubbles, most guys can play any one of them. You usually have your more versatile guys on the outside. But again, I’m excited about Anthony.”

Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
salvage that first round pick
all I want is an active rotation so the defense does not look so gassed in the the final half of the fourth quarter. keep your fingers crossed on Alex Okafor, I am thinking he will be the big surprise at DE this year for the saints defense. he has a solid shot at being that three down 43 DE we have been missing. He is the key IMO. Still wishing for more beef at NT position. I fear this will be our weak spot against the run and keeping the LB clean to do their thing. A bunch of one one blocking up front. |

It was obvious when he was out the Week 3 game against the Falcons, only game he missed... With twice the depth we had last year this time on the defensive line; we'll be fine... We were 14th in the league in RuYd Allowed last season, a significant departure from past effort... And, without anomalies of Falcons games or the Raiders game (actually one big rush play), we're among league best efforts in RuYds allowed... |

I think Davison, Onyamata and that monster Zimmer we poached off someone's PS last year will get pressure up the middle in rotation with Rankins and Fairley. Not to mention how much better they will be with a RDE who gets after the QB opposite Cam Jordan........ Edit: Thanks for keeping us informed JP!
