Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
See I disagree. If the saints stuck with a 34 we would not be talking about him as trade bait.
If Hightower plays a stupid game in FA I would not be surprised yo see New England make a play for him in a trade involving the 32nd in some kind of package deal. |

Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
NE would make him a stud in a 3-4, and to think we were that close to put the finishing touches on a 3-4 is ludicouis. All we had to do is hire the right coaches and let them bring in their own staff but Payton likes pulling the strings on his puppets to much to let that happen. These are the reasons our D continues to be at or near the bottom of the barrel each year. Going to be interesting how this D does under Allen this season?

Unlike some teams, the Pats value draft picks and build through the draft and it seems to translate to consistent success... The Pats keep their defense young, rarely re-signing vets which translates to younger, faster, stronger and better... Really think everyone needs to calm down about Stephone Anthony and let Mike Nolan do his thing... The linebacker I have concerns about are Hau'oli Kikaha; not just injuries, but his poor fit into Allen's scheme... I'd start ringing 3-4 teams and gauge his market to see if he could be moved... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Pats do not play sit the player because of a pick game like so many other teams do. I really do not want to see him go nor do I believe he will |

Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
I'd be surprised if the Saints FO plan to move (trade) Stephone.
When he came out of Clemson they labeled him a great run defender, but a liability in coverage. The same still holds true at the elite level of football, which means that there has been minimal improvements to his game so far with the Saints. Great players adapt and good players fit roles on certain schemes. Let Coach Nolan work with the kid before we write him off. |

Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
Coach Payton will be adding pass rusher(s) this offseason, via FA and/or Draft...
So what we have on roster is not enough (e.g. Kikaha, Gwachum, et al)... |
