I know Ireland can put together a good secondary. The year he drafted Vontae Davis his secondary was all rokkies. They had growing pains the first year but after that those guys played well. I can't remember the secondary coach but whoever it was did an excellent job with them.

I think SF had all rookie defensive backfield in Ronnie Lott's rookie season. Worked out well because it is about more than only a player's skill.
It is about playing together as a unit...which is why they practice together in sub-units. Ditto an O Line...it's call synergy. |
