Either that or since signing Brees, our FO get some kind of kick out of signing often injured players. |

In the NCAA it is extremely important. The PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS in the NFL have personal contracts with supplement companies and personal trainers. They do their own thing. They do have an obligation to show up at camp ready to do their jobs. This is especially important in their offseason conditioning. If they fail to do so? They are not committed to their profession. No coach can motivate them to do so. Also, The Greenbriar doesn't cause ACL tears nor does practicing in Metairie make joints or muscles tougher. I do agree that the slow starts to the season could possibly be mitigated by tougher training camps on Airline Dr. The Saints' 0-3 starts lately seem to point toward a "soft" mindset. In no way do I believe that The Greenbriar contributes to soft tissue injuries. I will entertain the idea that it makes the players less ready to start the season mentally tough. |
I'm no one.

Any lack of balance between the muscle groups, no matter how strong all of the stronger groups are, can result in failure. This is not something that can be established during OTA's, mini-camps or training camps alone. It certainly isn't something that can be addressed during the season. As Rocky stated above, this is on the players themselves. In fact, under the current CBA, there is less time than ever that the team can spend with the players. They have to utilize the time they do have as best they can. Preventative conditioning is something that HAS to be accomplished by the players themselves.

At least until he knocked himself out of the season.

Re: Spags D
Maybe the DC never mattered because we always had the same ****ty position coaches... Allen probably told Payton how trash they are and what he needed to make the D great again.

Re: Spags D
Judging by their performance in the Packers game I'm thinking they may have celebrated a bit too soon.

Cleaning house may not do anything. Probably a 10% chance we get to the ok zone.

Granted, it's a big depends kind of thing. Depends on who they bring in, but DC after DC being saddled with Sean's boys have helped no one's cause. Except the opposing teams'. Sooo, are they gonna **** themselves again next year? Depends... |
