Really like D. King. I think he's low 1st Round/2nd Round talent.
Maybe sell our 1st Round position for another 2nd Rd'er & more to get him...that'd make me pretty happy. Plus this draft is loaded with defense. |
Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints Draft - Scouting Prospect Visits, Bowl Games
CB Fabian Moreau is on my steals list late in the draft. End of round 3 would be a bit of a surprise. 4/5 guy might be were he settles in. 6/7 seems to be a no brain er and worth chasing.
RB to CB so he is raw but going into the 2015 season he was listed higher than he is now. 2015 he was side lined with a foot injury. Which is an injury that needs to looked at closely. Started the season slow but came on the final games. Fabian Moreau CB UCLA 5115 200 4.52 #10 rSr great speed tackling machine. Has had injury issues at UCLA which cost him all but 3 games of his Junior season lisfranc injury. running back his entire life until arriving at UCLA, and essentially spent his first season "forgetting how to play running back" and learning how to backpedal. |

Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints Draft - Scouting Prospect Visits, Bowl Games
Really, really liking the Villanova DE; he may move into a Round 2 selection for us...
DE Tanoh Kpassagnon, Villanova. Kpassagnon (pronounced tawn-oh pass-in-yo) strolled onto the stage and looked like Mario Williams reborn. Kpassagnon towers at 6-foot-6, 280-pounds with great arm length at 34 7/8th-inches, plus basketball-sized hands at 10 7/8-inches width. Sculpted like a Greek god, Kpassagnon is a stellar athlete and should see his stock rise with a strong week of practice. |
Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints Draft - Scouting Prospect Visits, Bowl Games
Two meetings from today:
West Virginia cornerback Rasul Douglas Western Michigan offensive tackle Taylor Moton |

intriguing size and the production dispite playing in the funky 3-3-5 scheme. Means he has to cover longer than most CB dur to the lack of pressure. The frame and athleticism, willing to make contact as a tackler Can easily be converted to safety? Taylor Moton ROT/ROG W. Michigan 6052 328 5.42 #72 rSr balance and agility. length and power a quick first step. “A 6-foot-5, 328-pound senior right tackle, Moton is projected as an early-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He’s strong in the way only kids from the Rust Belt can be. His max squat is 570 pounds and he throws up 400 pounds on the bench press with ease.” |

Kings lack of overall speed is killing him I bet. Wait till game time and see how he does

Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints Draft - Scouting Prospect Visits, Bowl Games
I initially thought Tre White as a Day 2 selection ... his stock could rise with a good Senior bowl and Pro Day performance.

Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints Draft - Scouting Prospect Visits, Bowl Games
I am stuck on O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama
keep an eye on Obi Melifonwu, S, Connecticut Melifonwu, at 6-4 and 219 pounds, was all over the field on Wednesday. He's got outstanding range, making up so much distance in a hurry. Bob Diaco, the coach at UConn the past three years, said Melifonwu has more ability than any safety he's ever coached, and that includes Harrison Smith, the all-pro player for the Minnesota Vikings whom Diaco coached at Notre Dame. He's a matchup chess piece with movement skills. If Greg Olsen comes to town, you say, "That's your guy." The next week a wide receiver like Mike Evans comes to town, you say, "Go get him." I thought Melifonwu had an outstanding practice session on Wednesday. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...practice-stars Funny Greg Olsen and Mike Evans were mentioned huh? hint hint to the saints? Obi Melifonwu FS/SS/OLB UConn 6032 216 4.58? #20 rSr HGT WGT...HAND.....ARM......WING 6040 219....8 3/4 ....32 5/8.. 78 5/8 Raw but a size/speed freak with good ball skills. Obi Melifonwu has great size and awareness in coverage He keeping everything underneath his coverage. One of Obi's biggest strengths is his disciplined aggressive tackling. He is a versatile safety. While inside the "phone booth" as a traditional SS he shoots gaps and lays the lumber on people. HE needs to improve his positioning, and technique, But reports of going to put up big-time testing numbers. He'll run low 4.4s? and jump over 40 inches. He can play in the slot as well. Huge upside. SPEED MAYBE AN ISSUE BUT HIS QUICKNESS AND AGLITY SHOULD BE SOLID. Need to see that 4.4 speed. |

Many 'Bama fans I do business with and associate with feel like he was a real disappointment for the Tide (Crucial drops, lack of scoring)... And OJ really didn't flash till recently in his Tide tenure... (So. Louisiana you have a noticeable amount of Bama transplants working here) And as Bama/Saints fans, they aren't crazy about him going to the Saints... Where we're selecting, I'd rather have Reuben Foster in a heartbeat... |

Senior Bowl Buzz: Thursday Night | Draft Analyst
Several teams in Mobile have taken Desmond King off the cornerback board and move him to safety, something we initially mentioned as a possibility on December 13th. Teams are concerned about King’s speed and ironically during the time I was having the conversation about the move to the safety board King was torched for a long reception by Zay Jones. |
Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints Draft - Scouting Prospect Visits, Bowl Games
Desmond King is a lot like Bell.
