Re: Brandin Cooks Trade Talks
Its a terrible deal
We would have to give him 12-15ml a year to get him to stay after his tag. Just pay another FA. If the Pats are offering anything you know its loaded to them. It always is. |

Re: Brandin Cooks Trade Talks
I've said it before, it seems like the Pats always get the good deal and the other team gets the **** at the end of the stick. They always come out on top. For all we know they put a first round tender on Butler because they already knew they were going to get Gilmore. Then they put the tender on Butler to increase his trade value to another team. I wouldn't put it past that front office.

Re: Brandin Cooks Trade Talks
The pats would need to throw in at least a rd 5. Cooks has a small contract year and at the most 8 million next year when the pats pick up his option. Butler will cost us 10-12 million a year starting this year. Why this year? No way we make this trade less we have a contract worked out this year. So butler and a 5th I would take. He would strengthen this defensive backfield right away. Throw in fairley, a de and a guard we can go into the draft with a bpa again. No doubt in my mind butler is worth it but they need to get compensation for taking on that contract.

Re: Brandin Cooks Trade Talks
True. I would never make any deals with the Pats. Almost a given you are going to get the short end of the stick. All of these proposals are weak. Cook's is a damn good WR. No less than a 15th or go away.

Re: Brandin Cooks Trade Talks
I don't think our issue has been cornerback, even with the backups playing most of the season...
Our problem was an ineffective, overpaid free safety and NO PASS RUSH... |
