The trade of Cooks seems to be Done deal.
Any thing less than #5 or player and # 15 would not make me happy.
Cooks is a young elite player you need to get big value in order to trade for unproven picks.
I get the reason the Saints want to make the move and I am not opposed if we milk it for all its worth.
We could get J. Allen and Rueben Foster and numerous other combinations . You have to offer something of value to have someone trade.

Re: Brandin Cooks Trade Talks

I did in fact watch the Instagram video live but was a tad bit late to the scenario that was playing out...Keenan had went live several times. I don't follow him, but knew things were being said so i tuned in. Someone was on speaker phone with him but theres no way to tell it was definitively Michael Thomas. Nothing huge was said, but it was DEFINITELY Keenan trying to stir the pot and get the person on the other end to talk crap as well. From what i gathered Keenan believed Willie Snead was talking down about him and calling Keenan a Bum, where exactly He heard that from, i don't know. My man Willie actually jumped on the live video as a viewer and told Keenan that was a lie & "fake news" then Keenan kinda back tracked on talking crap about Snead and tried explaining himself to which Willie responded "10/4." That was about the end of that. Bottom line...Keenan was just acting like a fool the entire day, airing out dirty laundry & talking ignorant. I have no respect for him after that drama. Love me some Willie Snead though.

I personally love what Cooks is about on and off the field, but business is business i guess. For the right price i totally understand moving on from him to fix this defense, but I sure will miss The Archer. Here's to no less than a 1st and 3rd/4th for him.

See the Saints fan on there saying he has heard Cooks and 11 for 5 and 18

Thoughts
Not sure myself. Id like a 3/4 to sweeten that a bit.

5 would be great and 18 still bery good.

Yep. I personally would be more than happy with that, but don't believe thats possible. Kind of like getting #5 for Cooks straight up. that would be two top 20 picks in a DEEP Defensive class, who doesn't like the sound of that.

Re: Brandin Cooks Trade Talks

Its probably fair for both teams looking at it. They get a proven talent cheap for 2 years and get to move up 7 spots in the draft for the number 5 pick.

Saints jump straight into the top 5 and still get a mod rounder where they can get a good talent. Or even trade back for a few more picks with either.

Jumping Carolina and having LF on the board at 5 could really be turned into a few picks.

Maybe even bring the Eagles into the frame for a WR as they have

Cooks is one of the best in the league. He is young and just starting to hit his prime. If I am the Saints I hold out for quite a bit. Good for us that we are finally making trying to force good moves or just walking away.

I just now got over losing Jimmy. I don't want to lose Cooks but If he is having a bad attitude about touches I understand. I hope we don't just get Pats #1. I would hold out for the best possible deal and pray to God we do not choke on draft day.
