Re: Brandin Cooks Officially Traded to Patriots
I want us to keep all of our picks, I don't want us to package to move up. Maybe even gain some more moving back.

Re: Brandin Cooks Officially Traded to Patriots
We still don't have that long, taller CB to complement the CB corps and matchup on big receivers...
Our division has Julio Jones, Mike Evans, and Kelvin Benjamin... Have bang the drum saying that the pass rush needs more attention and would have more impact than even slightly better DBs... And it was our safety, J-Byrd who was slow rolling over and helping on long pass plays that killed our stats... Cutting QB pocket time down and even slightly better FS play will see a reduction on those stat killing deep bombs that seemed to happen once per quarter, at least in the first halves of games... |

Re: Brandin Cooks Officially Traded to Patriots
I don't like the trade but it really had to be done. We lost every game by a score or less except two. If the draft was weak on defense then no but that is not the case.
We can make a drastic improvement on that side if we hit pay dirt with a couple of them. If by mid season the D is in the mid to upper teens we are likely going deep in the playoffs barring injuries. And whoever fills Cooks shoes will find a niche by that point. I also think this is not going to work out for the Pats. Cooks wants to be a legend. Not going to happen on that team. He's going from a bad situation to a worse one if he wants to be that kind of player. |
