Pro bowl CB M. Butler for #42 Huge Win
For # 32 is really trading Cooks for Butler not nearly as good but not terrible. Butler is much more of a sure thing than any rookie and is game ready now! Day one Butler makes us a better Defense! Salary is a big concern. I am wondering if we wait and see how the draft plays out before we pull the trigger on this trade I am wondering why we did not go harder at some of the other FA CB |
Re: Breaking: Malcolm Butler visiting Saints Thursday!
Yea to me it's obvious that Payton is too eager to make this happen. Payton sees a player he wants and like a crackhead try's his damndest to make it happen. Billicheck knows he has Payton over a barrel. I would like to see him here but only at the right cost. Should have packaged it in with Cooks deal.

Saints should keep all of their picks. If they want Butler so bad they can always overpay him next season.

Look guys, it's easier if you stop thinking we actually had pick #32. Of course until the deal goes down we don't know what the compensation will be but I'm just speculating that was always going to be it.

Re: Breaking: Malcolm Butler visiting Saints Thursday!
For 32 is garbage though, considering the Cooks trade. He obviously was a bad seed, but we could have done better. Unless we win the SB, anything more than 42 or a pick next year is too much.

Report Out of New Orleans Says Patriots and Saints Have an Agreement to Trade Malcolm Butler for the 32nd Pick

Re: Breaking: Malcolm Butler visiting Saints Thursday!
Okay, quick question: Who would be better at 32 than Butler? Butler's a pick that at the very least we know can run with the big dogs.

T.J. Watt and the cap savings hands down.
Butler is good but not good enough for a first and the cap hit. We are talking shut down CB prices. Butler is no where near a shut down CB. I watch him play every Sunday for years. Do not go down this rabbit hole all you will get is a Byrd in the end |
