no matter who you added it was always going to be a long season for the defense.

Actually, weed only have a couple of spots that really need an impact player. Once we clean everyone off of IR we will be looking a whole lot better.

I really don't think things are as dire as you think. You cannot project how this coming version of the defense will perform based upon the past. The stale LB and DL coaching of the past decade have been shown the curb. They have been replaced by far better coaches. The defense will also have the use of 2016 1st round selection the whole season, instead of the last few games. Kenny Vacarro shouldn't have to serve any suspensions, and it is not very likely that six DB's will suffer season ending injuries. We have also added A.J. Klein, who I am actually excited about seeing, and brought back the other R. Bush. Not to mention the impact of five picks in the first three rounds.

We can very possibly field a very respectable defense come week one.

Not smart to do with no idea what you are working with. But, that has never seemed to impede you.

We may still grab a FA CB or trade for one.

Why so negative and short-sighted?

Our defense will be in the top 15 this year. If we pick up a DE and probably 2 quality corners in the 1st and 2nd round and our entire secondary back from injuries last season it will be even better and adding AP to the offense and Ginn for speed and returns will improve the offense.

As long as we can stay relatively healthy we have the players to make a run.

Even before the draft I think our defense has enough talent with the FA additions to be average.

The offense should be great again without adding any other players.

Health has been the key for the last few years, and it will continue to be until we get rid of the bug.

Personally, I think our best off-season move was not returning to the Greenbrier. I bet our players are healthy and come out of the gate ready to play week 1.

You have got to look at this kid Douglas from WV. He is 6'3, 203 pounds and had 70 tackles and 8 ints last year. Projected to go in rd 3. Kid looks like the real deal

I wouldn't put the final nail in the coffin of the deal just yet. You never know and I don't hear the fat lady singing.
