In all seriousness though, the secondary and Front 7 have to work in tandem. It wasn't all one positional groups fault, it was always a mixture. Sometimes the DB's had great coverage but the D line gave the QB 5+ seconds to pass. Sometimes the D line got good pressure but the DB's lost their men immediatedly off the line. They have to learn to work as a group, 2009's D was filled with unwanted players and players that weren't that great, but they played hard for each other every snap and had a mindset that they would out work every offense. |

Give me a tenacious defense......we'll see more turn overs and shorter field position for Drew.

Yes a tenacious D would be nice!! I don't think we are near that though. We might get into the 22 to 25 range this season if we don't I hope they ax Allens head because it would be 2 1/2 years without showing any improvement at all. My eyes are all on him to make or break the season.

If you couldn't see a progression in the overall defense, then I don't know what to tell you. |

Payton surely has stacked the deck for this ( friend, puppet) DC, he better do good!!

Whatever sinking feeling you might have about Dennis it has to be offset by the fact that there's no Bill Johnson or Vitt around anymore.
