Re: Armstead out 4 - 6 months (shoulder)
Main thing will be to get Unger back healthy, strong at Center...
We've got three LT on the roster in Armstead, Peat, and Ramcyzk... Armstead is good, when healthy, but when was he last healthy? I'd worry more about the interior, Center, than LT if I'm a Saints fan... |

Re: Armstead out 4 - 6 months (shoulder)
This labrum injury really didn't have anything to do with either. It was a freak accident. From what I understand he slipped on a mat and landed directly on a shoulder. That would cause the ball to grind into the joint and tear the labrum. If he would have been in pads they would have cushioned the impact and would would have most likely been fine. The world's healthiest athlete would have fared any better in that scenario. It was just bum luck with a degree of blame belonging, once again, to the CBA which prohibited practicing in pads until later.

Let's also not forget that once the shoulder heals up there's still the mysterious knee issue that he's been battling for 3 years.

Re: Armstead out 4 - 6 months (shoulder)
I say go with the rook at LT and take our lumps early. Let him get some experience and when Armstead does come back then we have a monster o line. This does hurt but it can turn in to something positive. Im more concerned about the DT issue.
